What this game is
A small timing problem grows into an increasingly crowded workshop: hit nails, keep the conveyor under control, and stay solvent. Three champions turn that same task into charged swings, rapid clicking, or deliberately aimed automatic hits. Wave rewards, equipment, turrets, and active items give each run a different set of decisions.
The industrial-fantasy artwork and intentionally ridiculous hammer names are part of the identity. Under the joke is a score-chasing game about choosing which problem to solve next. The browser version is playable now, with no download or paid entry.
Made and maintained by The Workshop
Zachary Kaplan owns and develops That Dumb Hammer Game. The game combines its workshop artwork and music with separately licensed sound effects. Development focuses on keeping the browser experience playable, improving mobile usability, and expanding the game without making cosmetic purchases affect combat.
An iOS version is in development; this is not an announcement of an App Store release. The Roadmap inside the game describes planned work. Optional development support remains in test mode: no real charges are accepted and test contributions are not real fundraising progress.
Development notes
A field manual for the workshop
Added dedicated instructions, champion and upgrade guidance, and this development page. Guide links open separately from an active run. These pages explain the shipped browser game; gameplay balance and progression are unchanged.
Play area restored in narrow windows
Fixed a layout conflict that collapsed the play area on smaller screens and embedded browsers. Added checks around the affected screen widths and tested all three champions across phone-sized and desktop layouts.
Workshop frame cleanup
Corrected unwanted checkerboard areas around the workshop frame so the surrounding interface displays as intended.
Privacy and advertising preparation
Added consent controls and a separate display-ad area below the game. Optional analytics can be declined without preventing play. Advertising availability depends on Google’s approval and consent; preparation is not the same as active monetization.
Follow the game
Look for ThatDumbGamer on YouTube for gameplay with game audio. Try a champion, share a run with a friend, or tell us where the next attempt got difficult. Real player feedback helps prioritize development.
There is no need to click advertisements or repeatedly reload pages to support the game. Play, return when you want another run, and share what you actually enjoyed.
